6. The Tone

Although there is expected to be a more serious element to the movie, the first teaser for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood keeps things much lighter in terms of tone. We've come to associate Tarantino with lots of bloody violence, and there'll no doubt be some of that here, but the teaser offers up a really fun look back at the Hollywood of 1969.

There's plenty of humour, and weirdly, for a film so obviously retro, it does feel kind of fresh in a sense. There's a playfulness that really shines through thanks to the era, which will look at 'Hippie Hollywood' and the counterculture that took over Los Angeles (heavily influenced by Tarantino's own upbringing). While there'll undoubtedly be a darker side - with the Manson murders as a backdrop of some kind - it's keeping things light here, and that makes for a wholly enjoyable teaser to kick things off with.
