One Mind Blowing Secret From Every MCU Movie

1. 30 Babies Were Used - The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Though The Fantastic Four: First Steps didn't quite live up to the admittedly lofty expectations of fans who had been waiting for Marvel's First Family to join the MCU for a long, long time, it was a solid outing, and certainly the strongest big-screen iteration of the team to date.

One particular sticking point, as has been the case with many releases in Phase Four, was the CGI. In particular, the CGI to bring baby Franklin Richards to life. While the Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) looked stunning, little Franklin left a lot to be desired.

Things weren't quite as bad as Twilight levels, and in fairness, building a CGI baby from scratch is arguably one of the most difficult things to achieve in terms of special effects. Digital Domain worked on the VFX for First Steps, and admitted that the baby took up most of their focus.

Even with this, and the fact that they used 30(!) babies for reference in order to try and create a realistic baby, it was enough to take audiences out of the moment. Clearly not for lack of trying, it seems as though such a feat is beyond even modern-day technology, at least on the timeframes Marvel Studios works to.
