What If M'Baku Took The Throne?

When T'Challa ascends to the throne of Wakanda the main rival he must first face is M'Baku, the leader of a rival tribe. T'Challa is able to best M'Baku but later is saved by M'Baku, forging a very interesting and tense relationship between the two leaders. Despite have very little screen time, M'Baku proved himself to be a popular character among fans.

Having M'Baku take the throne in an alternate timeline would be sure to interest fans. How would his rule be different that Wakanda, would he keep the status quo or would he be set on changing everything? And when the threat of Killmonger appears, would people rally behind Killmonger as he is a descendant of the original royal family?

The best What If? scenarios always offer a whole range of questions and situations to explore, and M'Baku ascending to the throne certainly does that. The roles could be reversed as M'Baku looks to T'Challa for help and support when Killmonger arrives. T'Challa would be sure to help him, not wanting to drag Wakanda into a global conflict.
