Oscar Nominations 2023: 8 Ups & 9 Downs
5. Everything Everywhere All At Once Dominates With 11 Nominations
The most-nominated film of this year's Oscars is the glorious Everything Everywhere All At Once, which racked up an impressive 11 nominations, ahead of All Quiet on the Western Front and The Banshees of Inisherin, which netted nine each.
That was certainly a greater-than-expected haul for the Daniels' unforgettable multiversal action-drama, especially with nominations for Best Costume Design and Original Score being far from sure things.
It suggests a wide industry support for the film, and while heavily nominated movies often end up flaming out on Oscar night, it really only further fuels the narrative that Everything Everywhere All At Once is the decisive frontrunner for Best Picture.
