Oscars 2013: 6 Worst Nomination Snubs

3. Best Actor: Muhammet Uzuner, Once Upon a Time in Anatolia

url In the Turkish police procedural which plays out as if the cinematographer Roger Deakins filmed the longest episode of CSI: Kestin ever, Uzuner portrays Dr. Cemal. Tagging along with the police and a prosecutor, the doctor watches as two men attempt to locate a dead body they'd buried somewhere along the Anatolian countryside. Behind a mustache so glorious Tom Selleck would squeak with pride, Uzuner exploits his dark and soulful eyes as the story of the two criminals bleeds into the lives of the rest of the entourage. Quiet and understated, Uzuner's meticulously deliberate performance as the coroner functions as the moral compass of the film, while also leaving us with a puzzling and enigmatic final scene and the most memorable end credit sequence this side of Les Grossman breaking it down to Ludacris.
