Will Win: The Act of Killing Should Win: The Act of Killing Surprise Win: 20 Feet From Stardom Much like The Imposter wasn't nominated, it's both a surprise and a disgrace that Gabriela's Cowperthwaite's Blackfish isn't included here. Perhaps The Cove's win is too recent a memory for the voters to give it a chance. But it's a delight to see The Act of Killing in here. Powerful, disturbing and essential, this is another obvious and well-deserved win. There's no way it can lose! But whilst it's seriously doubtful that any other nominees is going to snatch the Oscar from The Act of Killing, there's always a chance. Perhaps it could be 20 Feet From Stardom, if any of them were going to. The category this year seems such an open-and-shut case that it's hard trying to speculate what could be the upset.
