Will Win: American Hustle Should Win: 12 Years A Slave Surprise Win: The Invisible Woman Whilst American Hustle's inclusion here was obvious, it's a surprise that it's been excluded from Makeup and Hairstyling. Still, it's guaranteed to win here- whatever you think of the film, its zany costumes certainly stand out! The costume work on 12 Years A Slave really stood out as well and should win here. But considering that it's going to win big elsewhere, it doesn't seem that likely to rob American Hustle in this category. Although since it's the only archetypal 'Period Drama' amongst the historical films nominated, The Invisible Woman might end up taking the prize. It's always nice to see a British film win wherever it can, really!
