The Nominees: CitizenFour, Finding Vivian Maier, Last Days In Vietnam, The Salt Of The Earth, Virunga Who Will Win? CitizenFour Who Should Win? CitizenFour That Life Itself isn't here should say a lot about how out of touch with film-goers the Academy can get. In the absence of a clear-cut winner, they'll probably go for something topical, and you can't get more topical (ish) than Edward Snowden. Timely to a fault, CitizenFour did what the best documentaries (and many previous winners) do - tell a story that couldn't be told any other way.
