Oscars 2016 Nominations: 15 Insane Shocks & Snubs

11. Shock: Spectre Beats Furious 7 For Best Original Song

After winning the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, Sam Smith's "Writing on the Wall" for Spectre has also picked up a Best Original Song Oscar nod, despite being the most maligned Bond song in years and being generally accepted to be a fairly lazy, effortless Bond theme. More frustratingly, it beat out the widely acclaimed Wiz Khalifa song from Furious 7, "See You Again", which was widely expected to make the five nominees for its moving tribute to the late Paul Walker. If Smith wins the Oscar, we riot.
