Got Wrong...

4. Making Suicide Squad An Oscar Nominated Movie

It'd be easy to dismiss this as being *just* for Makeup/Hairstyling, which is one of the more minor awards (it only has three nominees). That does a bit of a disservice to the great work makeup and hairstyling teams do though, and means a film as awful as Suicide Squad can now be called an Oscar-nominated movie.

Presumably it's there mostly down to the work done on Killer Croc, but it's still hard to feel that it's deserving of this award. Indeed, of the seven on the shortlist - the others being A Man Called Ove, Deadpool, Star Trek Beyond, Florence Foster Jenkins, The Dressmaker, and Hail, Caesar! - it was the least likely to get a nod here, and a surprising pick over more worthy candidates such as Florence Foster Jenkins and The Dressmaker (or even Deadpool, with this being the spot the Academy really could've recognised it).
