After Allison Janney took to the stage to accept her well-deserved Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her phenomenal performance in I, Tonya, the first words that came out of her mouth totally disarmed the crowd: "I did it all by myself."

Janney of course followed up with, "Nothing could be further from the truth" after giving the flummoxed crowd a moment to laugh it up, but imagine if she'd just left the deadpan remark there and walked off stage. Not only would it have been one of the most legendarily sarcastic acceptance speeches ever, but she'd have won that damn jet ski too.

Janney did the "right thing" by staying on stage to thank the actual people who helped her along the way, but she sure had everyone going for a second there.
