Oscars 2020: 10 Ups & 6 Downs
9. Brad Pitt Wins His First Ever Acting Oscar
As expected, Brad Pitt scooped the Best Supporting Actor gong for his performance as stuntman Cliff Booth in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Though Pitt had previously won an Oscar for producing 12 Years A Slave, this was his first acting Oscar win after four nominations - and a thoroughly deserved one.
In a rarest of moments, the famously cool actor couldn't maintain his composure, appearing visibly shaken as he offered up his thanks and seemed so enormously grateful for the honour.
Perhaps best of all, though, Pitt paid tribute to Hollywood's stunt performers, seeming to once again re-ignite the argument that the Academy needs an Oscar for stunt co-ordination.
Pitt also took the opportunity to throw some casual shade at Donald Trump, and concluded his speech with the memorable zinger, "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood...ain't that the truth."
