12. All The Presenters Introducing Presenters

What on Earth was up with all of the presenters showing up to simply...present other presenters this year?

Numerous times throughout the broadcast, famous faces would appear simply to introduce other famous faces who would actually be the ones giving out awards.

Given that the Oscars are long enough as it is, did the show really need more added guff like this?

Lin-Manuel Miranda spent enough time talking on his own, but having Anthony Ramos give him an introduction just added more bloat to an awards show that's already patience-testing at the best of times.

Perhaps this was a desperate attempt by producers to reignite interest in the Oscars' flagging ratings, by throwing as many celebrities into the mix as humanly possible.
