Oscars 2020: Predicting All The Nominees
22. Actor In A Supporting Role
Tom Hanks, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Brad Pitt are all certified locks for a Best Supporting Actor nomination, leaving a single slot wide open.
It would be lovely to see Willem Dafoe sneak in here for The Lighthouse, and he's certainly an Academy darling, but it just doesn't feel like his year, sadly.
Don't sleep on Anthony Hopkins for The Two Popes either, but considering Parasite's surprisingly strong performance on the awards circuit so far, a nod for Song Kang Ho feels like the safest bet.
Nominees:
Tom Hanks (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood)
Song Kang Ho (Parasite)
Al Pacino (The Irishman)
Joe Pesci (The Irishman)
Brad Pitt (Once Upon A Time in Hollywood)
