Volker Bertelmann's superb score accentuates the technical mastery and blistering emotion of this film, and while perhaps not the most strictly adventurous of the nominated scores, is memorable and impactful in its own way.

What Will Win:

All Quiet on the Western Front

There are some interesting narratives in this category - voters loving John Williams (The Fabelmans) and Carter Burwell (The Banshees of Inisherin) being long overdue a win - but with Bertelmann prevailing at the BAFTAs, that's most likely where the Oscar will also end up.

Don't be shocked if Babylon steals it away or Everything Everywhere All at Once takes it if voters want to throw all their love at one film, but All Quiet on the Western Front is the consensus favourite.
