Oscars: Ranking Every Best Animated Feature Film
1. Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse
In the end, though, the greatest Best Animated Feature Film of all time has to be Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, a computer-animated superhero masterpiece that beautifully gives the impression you've stepped inside a comic book.
Following Miles Morales as he accepts his destiny as Spider-Man and teams up with various other Spider-People across the multiverse, the action flick sports a great story about heroism and fate but soars with both its voice cast (Shameik Moore and Jake Johnson steal the show), and visually flawless design.
With large scope and countless moments of well-placed fan service, Into the Spider-Verse is every comic fan's dream, but is also an enjoyable feast for the senses even for those who don't typically approve of superhero movies.
Stunning, bold and intensely rewatchable, it wouldn't be unfair to class Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse one of the greatest animated movies ever made, and a great winner rightly voted for by the Academy. Here's to hoping its upcoming sequel can match it.
