3. Jack Ryan - The Big Bounce (2004)

Don't remember this one? That's OK. Nobody does. Despite featuring an all-star cast of Morgan Freeman, Charlie Sheen, Sarah Foster, Vinnie Jones, and Owen Wilson himself; The Big Bounce is another remake gone horribly wrong, and has rapidly faded into obscurity with each passing year. There'll be nobody more thankful for the movie's poof into thin air than Wilson, whose performance as Jack Ryan has its moments, but is largely as uneven and off-key as the film itself. Everything about The Big Bounce smacks of laziness, as if the film is subdued by the serenity of its own tropical island setting. Wilson is all over the map throughout, with a lot of his quips coming off as irritating and annoying rather than sharp or funny. Given how the first film adaptation of Elmore Leonard's novel from 1969 was a major critical and financial flop, it seems astonishing that a second Big Bounce movie even got made, never mind that it got the likes of Wilson and Freeman on board.
