Oz The Great And Powerful Super Bowl Trailer: Watch Here

Oz With a Marvel film also on the Super Bowl trailer schedule, Disney's presence this year in the most expensive advertising slots is a double-header thanks to the appearance of the Oz The Great & Powerful Super Bowl Trailer. Oz was already arguably the most well-pubicised of all the Super Bowl trailers this year, thanks to the release of a couple of trailers so far and a few TV spots during the NFL playoffs, but the Oz The Gret & Powerful Super Bowl trailer gives us one last major opportunity to see Sam Raimi's upcoming prequel to The Wizard Of Oz. We already know Raimi is a fantastic director, and well versed in multiple genres, but it still feels a little odd to see him tackling something quite so Disney. But then Tim Burton and Peter Jackson prove that from darker origins, lighter fantasies can be born, and the land of Oz represents a hugely bountiful opportunity for creative film-making, which Raimi has previous form with. Strictly speaking, you've probably seen most of the footage below, albeit in a different sequence, since the film opens in March, but that doesn't make this any more arresting. It's a wonderful testament to Raimi's creative vision, and hopefully the film will be more Wizard Of Oz, and less Alice In Wonderland when it comes to the balance of creativity and successfully executed story. But it all looks good so far. Following on from the the Star Trek Into Darkness and Lone Ranger trailers, Oz also released online ahead of its airing on TV during the Super Bowl.
