2. Godzilla (Godzilla)
Godzilla shares many similarities with Pacific Rim's chief antagonists the Kaijus except unlike the inter dimensional mega monsters Godzilla is of this Earth, created indirectly by mankind as a result of careless nuclear testing in the Pacific ocean. Originally happy to roam around Japan smashing things up Godzilla finally appeared on US shores in 1998 but had been significantly watered down by Hollywood. Unlike the US version though the original Godzilla was a nasty, reptilian bad ass that shot atomic energy from it's mouth and smashed the shit out of boats, buildings and people making it a hot target for any kind of goody two shoes military robots Hell bent on taking down any threats to humanity. You'd assume that despite its size (267 feet at its biggest) and it's reptilian brain Godzilla would still be at a distinct disadvantage when battling the Jaeger which is piloted by highly intelligent US soldiers. However let's not count the big green squashing machine out too early. A quick look back at its history over the years reveals a track record of battling all manner of other gigantic nasties from King Kong to Ghidora to Mothra making it a skilled and versatile fighter. Godzilla could be the Jaeger's biggest threat yet but ultimately would fall victim to the numbers game as more and more Jaeger's set about bringing it down for good.
