4. Bobby Newport - Parks And Recreation (2012-2015)
Paul Rudd played against type again in his second broadest comedic character, idiot rich boy Bobby Newport in Parks And Recreation. NBC's political sitcom is one of the smartest, warmest, and most downright hilarious shows in the network's history, and that was largely down to the titanic comedic talent of its ensemble cast. Rudd slotted nicely in there, as the rival of Amy Poehler's Leslie Knope in the race for city council. Mainly because, opposite the driven, intelligent and sharp-witted Leslie, he was a complete moron with no real interest in local politics besides ensuring that his family's Sweetums candy company continues to be allowed to make unhealthy crap. In the guise of Bobby, Rudd gets plenty of great one-liners exposing his total idiocy, like a modern-day Woody from Cheers. He also has a couple of moments of genuine sweetness, like revealing he's voting for Leslie instead of himself, and becoming visibly upset by an attack ad against him.
