The trailer for VANTAGE POINT looked pretty awesome and Warner Independent obviously agree because they have hired Peter Travis who hasnt helmed a movie before VANTAGE POINT to direct the fact-based drama THE MAN WITHOUT A GUN based on a Stuart Beattie script says Variety. That's Stuart Beattie the man who wrote COLLATERAL and the upcoming 30 DAYS OF NIGHT. Based on the memoirs of Gianna Picco, the film focuses on the desperate attempt to free hostages in the late 80's Lebanese crisis. Another relevant tale to today's climate and from a Stuart Beattie script no less. This has real, real potential but before we start getting excited over this film, let's enjoy that great trailer for VANTAGE POINT which we can see early next year...
