Pitch Perfect 3 Review: 3 Ups & 6 Downs

1. It's Mercifully Short

And finally, the film may be bad, but it's also incredibly brief, clocking in at just 93 minutes including credits. The previous two films ran dangerously close to two hours a-piece and were most definitely overlong to that effect, but Pitch Perfect 3 actually feels about the right length for a film like this.

Even though it isn't at all good, the fact it's over so fast will prevent most from getting irrationally angry about it. It's something you experience, it doesn't take over your entire afternoon like The Last Jedi does, and then you're free to forget about it and get on with your life.

The run-time does again suggest, though, that the film was hacked to pieces in editing, especially with so much material from the trailers being cut.
