Pixar: Ranking Their Films From Best To Worst

2. Toy Story 3

Toy Story 3 Nobody thought it was possible, nobody thought Pixar could make a film on the same level as the previous two entries, yet alone surpass them, but that's exactly what they did. Pixar committed to the brave move of growing with its audience, as fans of the first two movies would now be in their teens and Pixar owes them a satisfying third part. Despite being the third film in the series, and tackling far more mature themes than before, the film is still accessible to those engaging with the Toy Story universe for the first time. The story is beautifully written and new characters such as the tragic villain Lots-O-Huggin Bear, the smooth talking Ken and wonderfully hilarious Mr. Pricklepants are brilliant additions to the already esteemed cast of characters. It's almost impossible to discuss the emotional highs of Toy Story 3 as it was just so perfect, and written words could never do the picture justice. It hits the bullseye every single time and despite the fact this is the third entry in the series, still brought great surprises that had you laughing out loud, such as Spanish Buzz. The film builds brilliantly, and the final act is essentially a prison breakout movie that is more tense than most live action movies. Toy Story 3 is mainly a film about the loss of childhood and growing up even if we don't want to, but it's also a celebration of the joys of childhood and the relationship all children have with their toys. The unforgettable scene in Toy Story 3, is of course, all of the toys holding hands in the face of horror and destruction, because it made the audience, including this writer sob uncontrollably. We fell in love with these toys way back in 1995, and over 15 years later, we're still as attached as ever.
