Planet Hulk Film: Top 5 Candidates To Direct

1. Guillermo del Toro

ee75b8ee45b0ef121a95d7a6e65d407b-600x300Who? The Mexican born director made a name for himself after his 2006 film; Pan€™s Labyrinth was nominated for six Academy Awards and won three of them. He has also directed three comic book adaptations: Blade II, Hellboy, and Hellboy II: The Golden Army. He is familiar with the comic book genre and has made some of the most faithful adaptations to date. His next film, Pacific Rim, is another highly anticipated release slated for this year and is said to contain the biggest and best fighting scenes between robots and monsters ever recorded on film. Del Toro is known for his fondness for the strange and the creepy. Most of his films contain bizarre and original creatures that are very well made. His talent for creating realistic creatures would be needed for adapting the new extraterrestrials that appear in the Planet Hulk series onto the big screen. Del Toro is also producing The Incredible Hulk television adaptation that is currently in development. There is still no word if the show be linked to the Marvel cinematic universe like the upcoming ABC show, S.H.I.E.L.D. It would make perfect sense to have Del Toro direct the film and produce the spin off show. If Disney/Marvel want to make an accurate and faithful adaptation of Pak€™s story, Del Toro would be the perfect candidate for the job. Do you agree with any of the choices?
