Power Rangers: Every Major Character Ranked From Worst To Best

1. Billy Cranston

Power Rangers Billy
Lionsgate

This movie did such a great job with Billy. In the TV show, he was the nerdy wet lettuce of the group, but the movie evolves the character in a welcome way, making him charming in spite of his goofiness and perhaps the gang's most relatable character.

The big deal here, of course, is that Billy is autistic, but it doesn't become the trait that defines him, and is simply another human aspect of his character. It sets a great example for other blockbuster movies, dealing with a pressing social issue but without it feeling token or worse, intruding upon the narrative.

He seems like such a sweet, nice guy, and with a lesser performance his manic nervousness could come across as annoying, but you know what? It totally works. He's the star of the show for sure.

Best Moment: In an unexpectedly emotional moment, Billy is killed by Rita, before Zordon sacrifices his one chance to return to a physical body in order to restore Billy's life. Admit it: you got at least a little bit choked up.
