Power Rangers Review: 7 Ups & 4 Downs

Ups...

7. Bryan Cranston As Zordon

Bryan Cranston Power Rangers
Saban

Fans the world over rejoiced when Bryan Cranston was cast as Ranger mentor Zordon, and by God, he sure delivers. Cranston appears briefly in live-action form at the beginning of the film and then re-appears later in iconic big-head mode to help the Rangers become the force for good they need to be.

Cranston does a fantastic job making Zordon a far more interesting and multi-faceted character than he was in the TV show, frequently exasperated with the Rangers and having some seemingly dubious motives but ultimately serving as a wise teacher to the youngsters.

He gives one of the best performances in the film, and scoring his talents is a major coup moving forward.
