Predator: 15 Most WTF Franchise Moments (So Far)

10. The Insanely Dark Cinematography (Aliens Vs. Predator: Requiem)

The above image hasn't been digitally altered by us in any way: that's literally how incomprehensibly dark the second Alien vs. Predator movie is. Despite the movie being given a much-requested R-rating, the film's visuals are so murky it's hard to savour most of the gore, and worst of all, it gives us precious few clear glimpses of the long-hyped Predalien.

Stories of the movie's roughshod production have emerged since its release, with video footage even showing the frustrations of cinematographer Daniel Pearl, who attempted to sufficiently light scenes while battling against the wishes of directors The Brothers Strause.

AvP2 could've been a gloriously trashy, ultra-violent piece of shlock, but due to the mind-bogglingly dark visuals, it's ultimately a bit of a chore to sit through.
