Predator Skulls: 10 Mistakes It Needs To Avoid
3. Bring Back Dutch
Arnold Schwarzenegger's role as Dutch Schaeffer is one of his most memorable and the Austrian hulk is inextricably linked with the franchise in the eyes of the public, but the former governor has only appeared in the first chapter.
Arnold was offered a role in Predator 2 but declined; however, it seemed time softened his stance on returning to the series. Shane Black reached out to Arnold about cameoing in The Predator and Arnold was receptive to the idea until he ultimately declined due to the small size of the role he was offered.
Predator Skulls is set at some point in earth's history and will explore the alien's first visit to our planet so it would be implausible to bring Dutch back into the story. Although, now that Arnold has show some willingness to come back, a post-credit scene that teases Dutch's return and links his adventure with that of Predator Skulls could be the Avengers' style end credit teaser that the franchise needs to give it a shot in the arm.
The series could finally put together a string of sequels that feel like a cohesive whole if Dutch steps in as a Nick Fury-style government agent, assembling a team of elite soldiers to battle the perennial alien hunter threat.
