Predicting The 10 Highest Grossing Films Of 2015

2. Avengers: Age Of Ultron ($1.8 billion)

If Marvel can make Guardians Of The Galaxy into an almost $800 million hit, then they should have no problem taking a sequel to their biggest hit to incredible places. The Avengers became the third highest grossing film of all time back in 2012 at a time when Marvel's reputation was only for making alright movies. Now, with them regarded as the kings of modern blockbusters, things can only get bigger. Let's just take a stock take here. Iron Man is the biggest superhero in the world, a Captain America sequel made more money than a Spider-Man movie (just think about how crazy that is for a moment) and people actually take a movie about a Norse God semi-seriously. The Marvel movies are cultural milestones, with the Avengers team-ups the focal points. If people will turn out to the tune of $1.2 billion for Iron Man on his own, just think how things'll be when he's with his friends in an adventure that looks to be the franchise's The Empire Strikes Back. The Avengers made just over $1.5 billion, and only a true skeptic would say Age Of Ultron won't top that. To what degree is unclear - when you're entering this level of grosses to make an increase is hard given that you're relying on unbelievably high quality and repeat viewings - but expect the sequel to improve on the first by at least its budget.
