Predicting 20 Comic Book Movies Announced In 2017

19. The Hulk

Wolverine Movie
Marvel Studios

Having graduated from a couple of Avengers appearances to a side-kick role in Thor: Ragnarok (there's definitely a feeling he's not actually in that as much as some may think), it's about time the Jade Giant got another chance at a stand-alone.

Even with Planet Hulk and World War Hulk pretty much impossible to make, there is more than enough in Hulk's backstory - and in the characterisation we've already seen in the MCU - to justify a solo outing.

For instance, how cool would it be to see Hulk and General Ross' stories come together for a Banner Vs Red Hulk stand-off that could take in elements of the Thunderbolts?

Any Evidence?

There are still some question marks over the rights to Hulk as a solo star, but if there's a conversation to be had, you can be damn sure Marvel would get it done. They got Spider-Man back, after all.

Other than those questions, all we've seen so far has been vague flirtations with the idea of a Hulk movie, and you really have to suspect that a stand-alone would very much depend on Hulk's reception in Thor: Ragnarok.
