Predicting 20 Comic Book Movies Announced In 2017

18. LEGO Batman 2

Wolverine Movie
Warner Bros.

After the success of The LEGO Movie and its Batman-themed spin-off, it's almost a surprise that Warner Bros haven't already greenlit a LEGO Batman Movie sequel. The first was a hilarious, affectionate parody of the Dark Knight, full of references and self-awareness that used the medium to full effect.

There's no way that's the last we've seen of Will Arnett's Batman in Gotham.

Evidence?

We already know that LEGO Batman is back in The LEGO Movie 2 - and that the first movie's ending will have some impact on that sequel - but given that the spin-off took a healthy near-$300m from a $80m budget, it's inevitable we'll see more from him.

And the beauty of this universe is that there's infinite scope for more, even without adapting existing comic book arcs.
