Predicting 20 Comic Book Movies Announced In 2017

Initially, it seemed like Ben Affleck's The Batman was going to deliver on the Under The Hood story as a means to wrap up the dead Jason Todd sub-plot established elsewhere in the DCEU. But then that test footage of Deathstroke emerged and it looked like we'd be seeing another direction entirely.

But that doesn't mean the film isn't still coming. With David Ayer developing Gotham City Sirens and a Nightwing movie definitely coming, it appears Warner Bros are greenlighting their plans for an extended Batman Universe to compliment the wider DCEU.

And there's no reason Ayer's film - which he's hinted will include Black Mask - couldn't actually be Under The Hood in disguise, as a backdoor introduction of Todd's revived anti-hero to set up a Batman sequel.

Evidence?

Actually quite a lot. Ever since Jason Todd's death was revealed by Batman v Superman and then not followed through on, the Under The Hood story started pulling attention pretty insistently. Surely they wouldn't be seeding that with no intention to deliver?
