1. Avengers: Infinity War ($1.6 Billion)

To the surprise of nobody, Avengers: Infinity War is the best-selling superhero movie in terms of advance ticket sales (beating Black Panther), and is by far the most anticipated film of 2018 by general audiences at large.

There's no way anything tops it at the box office this year, and it's really just a question of how high the movie can go. It'll most likely top The Avengers ($1.519 billion) to become the highest-grossing MCU film to date, and while some estimates place it as high as $2 billion, $1.6 billion feels like a more sensible middle-ground guesstimate.

A textbook example of a critic-proof movie, the obvious fanboy appeal combined with the film feeling like a culmination of so many prior movies ensures it'll annihilate the box office for weeks on end.
