Predicting Box-Office Of Every Disney 2019 Movie

1. Star Wars Episode IX - $1.6bn

If you'd asked a couple of years ago how much money a J.J. Abrams-directed Episode IX - being billed as The End of the Skywalker Saga, no less - would make, then you'd almost certainly be thinking around the $2bn mark. After the divisive response to The Last Jedi, and the poor performance of Solo, however, it is probably going to take something of a hit.

At the same time, this is still Abrams, who we know can market the s**t out of a movie. And it is the end of the Skywalker saga, meaning people will be going to see it because it's the last one, while the gap of a year-and-a-half after Solo will definitely help too. Back in its December slot, and hopefully feeling like an event again, should get things back on track somewhat.

The rest will be up to how good it is: The Force Awakens made so much because people kept going back for more, and if Abrams can deliver a similar crowd-pleaser than this could go even higher, but we can at least expect it to top Episode VIII's performance.

How do you think Disney's 2019 movies will do at the box-office? Let us know down in the comments.
