Predicting Box-Office Of Every Disney 2019 Movie

2. Frozen 2 - $1.4bn

Frozen Elsa Ana
Disney

Release Date: November 22

Yeah, Disney were never going to let this go. Frozen, as even the faintest few strains of Let It Go will remind you (especially anyone with a child), was an insanely huge deal when it released back in 2013, and it's finally getting a sequel.

There's enough time passed that it's going to feel like a proper event and not a cash grab, but not so long that people have forgotten about it. People who were too young the first time will be there for this; anyone who loved the first will be going back. And given the first film made $1.2bn, that's a lot of ticket sales that are pretty much guaranteed.

On top of that, it's releasing on Thanksgiving weekend, which it currently has all to itself. With all the same talent back too, and IF they can get a new song on the same hype level as Let It Go, then this could easily top the first to be Disney's biggest animated offering ever.
