Predicting How 2018's Biggest Movies Will End

1. The Kessel Run - Solo: A Star Wars Story

During shooting for the Han Solo standalone movie, director Ron Howard tweeted a picture of a cave with the caption, "Spicey?", seeming to imply that the film will feature Han Solo's legendary Kessel Run, a smuggling spice run which he famously claimed to complete in less than 12 parsecs.

Though many fans will roll their eyes at such a mythical event being realised on-screen given the potential for it to come off as underwhelming, it's possible that the Run will be somehow incorporated into the film's final showdown to enhance its epic feel.

Alternatively, Howard could pull a more acceptable troll ending by having the Run begin as the Millennium Falcon flies towards the screen and we cut to black, preserving the mystery with a cheeky rug-pull.

If the Kessel Run happens earlier in the film, it could just feel a little half-baked, so saving it for deep into the third act and making it the storming centrepiece of the film, or alternatively just keeping it a cute final stinger, is likely the way they will go.
