Predicting How 2019's Biggest Movies Will End

10. The End Of The Jedi & Sith - Star Wars: Episode IX

The Last Jedi was divisive among fans for many reasons, not least the fact that it appeared to dispense with the light-dark dichotomy of the Jedi and the Sith.

Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) clearly endeavoured to create a new offshoot of the Force and hoped Rey (Daisy Ridley) would join him. Whether or not Rey eventually succeeds at saving Ben Solo's soul, though, it's probable the traditional Jedi-Sith dynamic will be left in the dust.

Considering Episode IX is being hyped up as the concrete finale to the Skywalker Saga, what better way to close it off and establish a fresh future than by creating a new order for the Force?

It's been widely suggested that Rey could end up being the first "Gray" Jedi - that is, a combination of light and dark Force traits. Though J.J. Abrams could end up giving an entirely new name to Rey's transformation, it would be incredibly fitting if she ended the movie firmly distinguished from any type of Force user we've seen in these movies before.

The road map for the inevitable Episodes X-XII are of course totally unknown as of right now, but it's a dead certainty that Rey will be commanding the franchise moving forward, and this would be a powerful statement of intent for the future.
