Predicting How 2019's Biggest Movies Will End
8. Sarah Paulson Is The Secret Villain - Glass
This being an M. Night Shyamalan movie and all, there's already a ton of fan suspicion about the Split sequel's new character Dr. Ellie Staple (Sarah Paulson), a psychiatrist who specialises in "delusional" people who believe they are superheroes.
This of course brings her into contact with David Dunn (Bruce Willis), Elijah Price aka Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson) and Kevin Wendell Crumb aka The Horde (James McAvoy), as she seeks to treat them through radical means.
The trailer plainly sets up Glass and Crumb teaming up to battle Dunn, but what if this is in fact a smoke screen, and as rumoured, Staple turns out to be the film's real antagonist?
It's been speculated that Staple may reveal herself to be a supervillain, with her controversial therapy actually being an attempt to leech power from the three men.
This would lead to the turn where Dunn, Glass and Crumb have to reluctantly team up to battle her, perhaps coming to a temporary truce until she's taken care of, after which they go their separate ways.
The smart money's most likely on Dunn and Crumb escaping while the brittle-boned Glass is killed in the climax, leaving things open for a potential follow-up where the two surviving superhumans battle one another to the death.
