Predicting How 2019's Biggest Movies Will End
3. The Original Avengers Lay Down Their Lives - Avengers 4

No 2019 movie has been as ferociously speculated about as the still-unnamed Avengers 4, though the popular expectation is that, whether Thanos is killed or simply captured, there are going to be some major, permanent casualties on the side of the heroes.
The most obvious candidates for the chopping block are Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans), but a compelling fan theory that's picked up traction online suggests that the majority of the older, surviving Avengers will end up laying down their lives to save the younger, newer roster members.
Given Cap's memorable refusal to trade lives in Infinity War, it'd be deliciously ironic if he and his legacy teammates were required to do just that in order to save the likes of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Spider-Man (Tom Holland).
Furthermore, it'd allow the bulk of the movie to focus on Cap and Tony settling their differences ahead of their sacrifice while setting up the climactic passing of the torch.
It may seem predictable by this point, but aren't we a little bit past that by now? If the execution is on-point, it's going to be a spectacularly emotional moment which bolsters the Avengers roster moving forward while giving the departing heroes one hell of a meaningful exit.
