Predicted Release Date: 3rd July, 2019 Assuming Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2 is indeed the end of Phase 3, then the first film in Phase 4 will come a couple of months later. Looking at what's been announced, it appears like Marvel are trying to have three weekends each year dedicated to their releases - the first week in May, the first week in November and, it seems, the incredibly profitable Fourth of July weekend. With that in mind, the best way to lead into this is with a character who audiences love and has a vague link to the holiday - Captain America. This film would probably see Bucky take up the mantle of Cap. In the comics Steve Rogers is assassinated at the end of Civil War, with his best buddy taking over before his mystical resurrection. Now this could all happen in Phase 3, but with so much set to go down in Cap 3 it wouldn't be all that surprising to see this postponed until the end of Infinity War, Chris Evans' last film in the franchise. Rogers can be killed at some point in that epic two-parter (maybe even as a Part 1 cliffhanger), with this film dealing with Bucky's attempts to take on the impressive mantle. Sebastian Stan has a whopping nine-movie deal with Marvel, implying that Bucky is pretty essential going forward, making him headlining a film really only a matter of time.
