Predicted Release Date: 1st November, 2019 A good way to predict what Marvel movies are on the way is to look at scripts currently in development. Obvious really. Chief among those is Runaways, the teenage children of a mysterious crime syndicate who use their parents tech (as well as inherited superpowers) to take them down. It's got all the elements of a solid Marvel movie (one of the characters even has a telepathic link to a freaking dinosaur), with enough distinction to make them stand out. Drew Pearce, who co-wrote Iron Man 3, has written a spec script that's been sitting at Marvel for a while now. That's no official measure of the film's actual existence, but it serves as a reminder to Feige and the rest at the studio of the series' cinematic viability. After two massive movies, it'd be good for Marvel to end 2019 on something a little less overwhelmingly epic. As a comic Runaways was cancelled in 2009, but if a film is indeed on the horizon keep an eye out for it coming back into print in the coming years. Let's just hope Marvel doesn't repeat the title trick of Avengers Assemble and call it Runaways Rise to avoid comparisons with Joan Jett and co.
