Predicting The 10 Biggest Box Office Bombs Of 2018

10. Robin Hood

Budget: $90 million (estimated)

Predicted Box Office: $170 million (projected $10 million loss)

Does anyone really want a new Robin Hood movie, especially one attempting to reinvent the character as a hip young upstart? Considering how badly that approach went for last year's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (grossing just $148.7 million against a $175 million budget), it's hard to have much faith in this project, which is being penned by the same writers.

Though Robin Hood is likely to have a much smaller budget than the bloated King Arthur, even if we assume the film has just half Arthur's price tag, it's still hard to imagine it managing to double its estimated $90 million cost.

The 2010 Ridley Scott-directed Robin Hood wasn't exactly a smash hit either (grossing $321.7 million against a $200 million budget) even with the presence of Russell Crowe. There's no way Taron Egerton will be putting butts in seats in the way that Crowe would've, as there's clearly not much crossover potential with Kingsman fans here.
