Predicting The 10 Biggest Box Office Bombs Of 2019

3. Hellboy

Budget: $70 million (estimated)

Box Office Prediction: $120 million (projected $20 million loss)

Despite both of Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy movies underwhelming at the box office, an R-rated reboot is in the works.

Without a name auteur such as del Toro attached and original star Ron Perlman substituted out for the lesser-known David Harbour, this has an uphill struggle ahead of it commercially to say the least.

Even ignoring the totally flat and forgettable trailer, Hellboy's suicidal April 12 release date places it directly between Dumbo, Shazam! and Avengers: Endgame.

Unless it moves to the summer where it at least has a fighting chance, this is destined to land with a sure lack of interest.

One suspects Lionsgate doesn't have much faith in Hellboy and is simply sending it out to die. It'll recoup its estimated $70 million budget, but won't prove profitable.
