Predicting The 10 Biggest Box Office Bombs Of 2019
4. Artemis Fowl

Budget: $100 million
Box Office Prediction: $185 million (projected $15 million loss)
Oof, where to begin with this one? Disney tends to release at least one live-action dud per year, and though 2019 will absolutely be a record year for the House of Mouse, Artemis Fowl is nevertheless set to crash and burn.
This adaptation of the beloved fantasy novel series feels like it's arrived about a decade too late, long past the point where it could capitalise on the success of the Harry Potter films or even the peak popularity of its source material.
Additionally, the marketing fails to convey who it's aimed for, making a convincing case for neither younger kids nor young adults. Expect parents to take their kids to see The Lion King again before they'll even consider giving this a chance when it releases on August 9.
With a $100 million budget in the mix, expect it to perform better than A Wrinkle in Time ($132.7 million) but worse than Tomorrowland ($209.2 million).
