Estimated Box Office Gross: $1.5 billion Captain America: Civil War - without question - has the best chance of becoming Marvel's highest-grossing feature ever, because it is essentially a recipe for box office glory. Consider that this movie has pretty much all of the Avengers (plus others) battling one another, with Captain America and freakin' Iron Man leading two opposing factors and... well, say no more, right? Everything about Civil War screams profit - not only because Marvel decided to bring in Robert Downey Jr. (super smart move), but because the film marks a culmination of everything we've witnessed take place in the MCU so far. It's an Avengers movie in many ways, yes, which ensures a hefty cash flow, given that both Avengers flicks thus far have grossed over a billion dollars apiece. That doesn't necessarily matter, all things considered, though: Captain America: The Winter Soldier grossed $714 million dollars without too many Avengers connotations, so Marvel already know that the Captain America brand has the necessarily pulling power. Basically, this will be huge. Also: Spider-Man. Throwing that guy in has probably guaranteed an extra $100 million alone. Like this article?
