6. Secret Invasion

Even though there may not be Avengers, per se, in the wake of Avengers 4, there will still be ensemble event movies, and with Captain Marvel's arrival, the first big one could well be a Secret Invasion movie.

Predictions

As Marvel picks apart the hints of something nefarious in her own movie, she should discover a secret invasion of Skrulls has infiltrated Earth and replaced key figures - potentially including some heroes - with impostor doubles.

It will fall to her to find out who is who they seem to be and unite the heroes in a team against the Skrulls to set things right and find the heroes lost and replaced along the way.

Evidence?

The fact that the Skrull/Kree war is a huge part of Captain Marvel seems to suggest that this may be where we're headed. But beyond that, it's all just speculation.
