7. Captain Marvel 2

We haven't even had the first Captain Marvel movie yet, but there's no way that we won't be getting at least one sequel. After all, the narrative around the character's arrival suggests she's going to inherit the very top position in the MCU's hirarchy of characters.

Predictions

It's hard to say, but the likelihood is that Marvel's ongoing story will be linked to the Skrull/Kree war, and a stand-alone sequel leading into a full-blown event (in place of an Avengers titled ensemble) would make sense.

So expect the sequel to maybe tie up hints throughout the rest of "Phase 4" at a Skrull storyline (most likely Secret Invasion) and seed a superhero team coming together to deal with a looming catastrophe.

Evidence?

None other than the assumption that Kevin Feige saying that Captain Marvel will "lead the entire MCU" means that she'll be around for more than a single stand-alone. Because that's definitely what he meant when he said it. She's the future, and more movies is the only way to compound that.
