Predicting The Rotten Tomatoes Scores For 2016's Biggest Remaining Movies
6. Rogue One (82%)
Critical Consensus: "A welcome addition to the Star Wars canon, Rogue One combines crackling visuals with strong performances for a superior sci-fi blockbuster."
It's hard to ignore all the rumblings around those extensive re-shoots, but even so, it's also hard to see Rogue One being anything less than an enjoyable sci-fi flick, even if it falls short of The Force Awakens' heights (92%).
This is a film that ticks a ton of boxes that should see it in good critical stead: a strong director in Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Godzilla), a ridiculous cast including Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Diego Luna and so many more, not to mention the confirmed appearance of Darth Vader in some form.
It's hard to imagine all that adding up to a critically Rotten film, but as ever, nothing is set in stone, and something can always go wrong.
