5. The Girl On The Train (86%)

Critical Consensus: "Led by an outstanding Emily Blunt, The Girl on the Train is a dark, stylish adaptation of Paula Hawkins' acclaimed novel."

Expect a lot of critics to call The Girl on the Train "this year's Gone Girl", even if they probably state that it's not quite as compelling or sharply-directed as David Fincher's film.

Still, there's a lot of Oscar buzz around Emily Blunt's performance, which will hopefully elevate the fairly tacky Lifetime movie source material (just as Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike did in Gone Girl).

The rest of the movie probably won't be quite so lucky awards-wise, but expect this to be one of the year's sleeper box office hits.
