Predicting The Rotten Tomatoes Scores For 2016's Biggest Remaining Movies
19. Bridget Jones's Baby (29%)
Critical Consensus: "Renee Zellweger is as game as ever, yet despite some pleasantly nostalgic moments, Bridget Jones's Baby is a dull belated sequel that fails to justify its existence."
The original 2001 Bridget Jones movie scored an impressive 81% with critics, before 2004's sequel, The Edge of Reason, racked up a depressing 27%.
There's no reason not to expect similar results here: the third film could be either a slight improvement over the last movie or a little worse, but it'll probably be a watchably forgettable rom-com with an abundance of cringe-worthy and predictable moments.
So-called "pregnancy movies" are already pretty low-hanging fruit as far as the rom-com genre goes, so aside from the nostalgia factor, it's hard to expect much from this one (especially going by the uninspired trailer).
